So how could something like this happen you ask? Well for a variety of reasons:
1) the AI freelancer isn’t very well trained (they’re usually self-taught).
2) the AI freelancer isn’t very experienced.
3) the AI freelancer doesn’t actively MANAGE their clients’ campaigns.
The Problem With SaaS Companies And AI Freelancers
As you’re learning how to navigate this new world of AI, it’s important to understand all the players in the game. Many offers that you see online for cheap AI tools costing a few $100 per month or less are usually SaaS companies (software as a solution) or AI freelancers. These are well meaning companies or individuals who learn how to develop AI tools only. They have no idea how to grow a company. They don’t have training or expertise on how to successfully run marketing campaigns, they have no idea how to perform lead generation, they have no idea how to perform or improve sales, they don’t know how to get results from leveraging follow-up systems, etc..
All they know how to do is build (mass produce) CHEAP AI tools. So they really don’t know how to advise you to grow your company with AI or anything else! This is important to know especially if you’re seeking them out for their advice.
Because they lack any type of Business Building – Business Growth Expertise, they also don’t even offer to run and manage your campaigns. Many AI freelancers don’t even know that that’s even a thing! How can someone who has no experience running marketing campaigns, generating leads, making websites & landing pages convert better, improving sales performance, etc. run and manage a marketing, lead generation or sales campaign? Are you starting to get the idea?
The SaaS companies won’t do this yet some of the freelancers MAY check on your cheap AI tool once in awhile to see if it’s still working properly. They’re not concerned about your results. That’s not their background. So that’s what happens when you have a campaign that’s UNMANAGED.

And then, if it doesn’t work, where do they go? Nowhere, so the client cancels after a few months.
This is why managed campaigns average anywhere from $500 per month to $5,000 per month. Pricing based on the needs of the client, what it takes to build and maintain the artificial intelligence solution, what it takes to provide ongoing training and support to the AI agent, etc..
